Alternative rock (also called alternative music, alt rock or simply alternative) is a genre of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1980s and became widely popular by the 1990s.
Sugartooth originally materialized in Los Angeles in the midst of the early nineties. Marc Hutner (vocals, guitar), Josh Blum (bass), Tim Gruse (guitar) and Joey Castillo (drums), formed the group after meeting each other in the Los Angeles music scene while playing in separate groups.
