Alternative rock (also called alternative music, alt rock or simply alternative) is a genre of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1980s and became widely popular by the 1990s.
Spanish urban rock band from 1977 to 1983 founded by Rosendo Mercado (guitar, vocals), Chiqui Mariscal (bass and backing vocals) and Ramiro Penas (drums). After the first LP, “Leño” in 1979, Chiqui was replaced by Tony Urbano.

Jet Black Alley Cat delivers a blend of 80´s pop/rock and modern melodic rock not that far from Vattica, especially in the highlight “Fight XVIII” but my favorite song is “Rewind” that can be described as a more rocking Simple Minds.
