Mike LeCOMPT (ex Tangier) – All The Days Gone By ’92 + Unplugged ’95 [2025 reissue], MP3+FLAC

After being part of the last Tangier era and recording on their last album 1991’s “Stranded”, vocalist Mike LeCOMPT wasted no time when the band dissolved, and assembled his own group LeCOMPT. And what a group: on guitar Rick Criniti (Blackeyed Susan, Cinderella), on bass Billy Childs (Britny Fox), and skilled drummer Ritchie DeCarlo coming from the progressive rock scene.

LeCOMPT recorded and released “All The Days Gone By” in 1992 and former Tangier band mate Doug Gordon appear on guitar on one track – that’s worth to mention, as this CD has many music similarities with Tangier.
Midtempo melodic rocker ‘Gypsy Heart’, the rocking title track, the catchy ‘Love Is Lethal’, , the Cinderella-like ‘S.S.C.P.’, and the very good power ballad ‘Walkin’ Away’ are very strong, enjoyable songs, and despite the indie nature of this release, production is top notch.

By 1994 LeCOMPT added as drummer expert Johnny Dee (Britny Fox, Tyketto) and next year recorded ‘Unplugged‘, stripped rock songs as many bands did around the time, including songs from “All The Days Gone By” and Tangier. All well done with a melodious feeling.
This is really good stuff from these talented musicians, glad these albums get a reissue.
