STARGAZER – Stargazer [Long Island Records ROCK CLASSIC series remaster], MP3+FLAC

Chatting with a contributor of this website, he mentioned STARGAZER, the German ’80s band [not to be confused with the Norwegian act] which 1988’s debut album was reissued in the Nineties by legendary Long Island Records for their ROCK CLASSIC series, remastered, numbered, and pressed on gold CD.

Actually STARGAZER debut LP was titled ‘Back On The Street!’, but Long Island simply self-titled the reissue as included 4 bonus tracks: 3 songs from the band’s second album ‘Commercial Gods’, and the very first single from 1986, still with their original vocalist and British hard-rock influenced.

With the world-wide success of EUROPE and BON JOVI, by 1987 STARGAZER changed style in favor of more radio friendly melodic hard rock, and with new, more melodic singer Armin Fendl they began their work for ‘Back On The Street!’
Still retaining some classic hard rock edge, the new songs add a lot of keyboards to the mix and harmony vocals for the catchy choruses, and musically similar to EUROPE, MYDRA, RETURN, RAINBOW/Graham Bonnet era (singer Armin Fendl has that kind of raspy voice).
STARGAZER (Ger) was a very cool band, still unknown for many, and while production wasn’t the most stellar, the songs rock. The track order is wrongly printed on the back cover, but our files correctly tagged, as shown below.
