As requested by many, here’s another terrific Japanese “Alive The Live” series CD release (disc manufactured in Taiwan by King Records). This is little pearl: “VAN HALEN – Manchester Apollo １９７８“, capturing this incredible band in their first world tour, supporting Black Sabbath in the UK leg.

This is a must have recording, as no official live album with the four original members from this period has ever been officially released. Sound quality is VG+!
Van Halen’s debut album, “Van Halen,” released only 4 months before, resulted a world-wide sensation. The band immediately embarked on their first world tour (1978 World Tour), which consisted of 174 shows. As part of the tour, the Manchester show on May 22nd was recorded and broadcast for radio promotion.
“VAN HALEN – Manchester Apollo １９７８” is based on the original broadcast and includes the encores and drums, bass and guitar solos performances.
