ZFM – Anthology (2025), MP3+FLAC

Now we are featuring in exclusive the upcoming debut album from super-group ZFM, comprised of lead vocalist Stephen Shareaux (Kik Tracee), guitarist Drew Fortier (ex- Bang Tango, The Lucid), guitarist Brynn Arens (Flipp), bassist Chip Z’Nuff (Enuff Z’Nuff), drummer Mike Heller (Raven, The Lucid, ex Fear Factory) and pianist K.L. Doty.

The album is titled ”Anthology”, some kind of an irony as this is ZFM debut CD, but as it has been almost a decade in the making the band members decided to make the joke. What it isn’t a joke is ZFM’s music, a really interesting new thing.
Formed in 2015 as an unlikely collaboration between the ’80s hard rock and metal elite, ZFM aim was to create something different, at least different from their previous bands.

”Anthology” is a varied collection of songs mixing hard rock, pop, alternative, metallic edge – all with a modern twist of otherworldly beauty and abrasive heaviness that has been long gestating to be heard. After a decade of quiet struggles, their album ‘Anthology’ will finally see the light of day.
Featuring tracks such as “Mother Evolution” (mixing radio-rock with progressive), the groovy “New Leaf,” the dark “Aflame,” the heavy “Like A Vampire,” and “Poppy,” the album was produced by the band’s own Mike Heller and mixed & mastered by Lasse Lammert. Some times melodic pop-rock easy to the ears, at others dark and heavy, ZFM music isn’t easy to classify, and there’s the interesting part – the band surprises you with each track.

“After literally 10 years, we are thrilled to finally have this album completed and released,” explains guitarist Drew Fortier. “We’ve endured every obstacle imaginable to bring this music to you and I truly hope this record will connect with you all.”
ZFM’s ”Anthology” is a really interesting LP, well written and executed but these seasoned musicians, especial mention goes to Stephen Shareaux which voice is intact since his ’80s Kik Tracee years, and Mike Heller’s elastic drumming, always diverse and precise.
