DANN HUFF – When Words Aren’t Enough (2025)

Former mastermind behind GIANT and top LA Session musician DANN HUFF is stepping into the spotlight with his highly anticipated debut solo album, “When Words Aren’t Enough“. Released a couple days ago and featured in exclusive at here, this album marks a new chapter for the legendary guitarist, songwriter and producer.

Dann Huff needs no introduction. With a career spanning decades, he has collaborated with top artists and brought his signature sound to countless hit records.
It was time for his proper first solo album, and the man with the inimitable tone doesn’t disappoints. Many fans were waiting for songs with lyrics – Dann is a wonderful singer as well – but as the album title makes clear, “When Words Aren’t Enough” is a full instrumental album.
But folks, this isn’t just ‘another guitar instrumental album‘. Dann doesn’t need to sing these songs, his guitar does. Oh my gosh, and that tone… this is simply one of the best albums of the year — all songs are awesome. Of course, production is perfect.

Most the songs on “When Words Aren’t Enough” are rock&pop based, and despite not having vocals it feels like there’s a voice all the time carrying the tunes.
Every track honestly has a beautiful Summertime feel, melodic. Positive pushing and uplifting soul driven grooves with every note choice, tasteful yet raunchy with some added Tabasco. The last two tracks really shine like warm rays, but man “Runaway Gypsy” Wow!! I’m heading to the beach not driving the speed limit with my sunglasses on.

When you push play on “When Words Aren’t Enough”, it’s like a feel-good ride. So wonderful to hear those Strat-based tones shining through. Beautiful phrasing and use of diverse instrumentation to create interesting and unique guitar driven compositions.
There is no favorite song on this album > It’s the complete record. This is pure Dann Huff, a true artist playing his own music from the heart.
