On Friday February 26th, 2010, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands Orleans performed at the Reichold Center for the Performing Arts. The show was captured simply on one HD camera and a hard disc recorder by intrepid Production Manager and Front of House mixer, Michael Malfesi — no fixes, no overdubs, no remixes!
The show featured David “Doc” “DR” Robinson on Dancin’ In The Moonlight. Sherman Kelly had written the song following a trip to St. Thomas while he, Larry Hoppen and Doc Robinson was in the band Boffalongo. When Doc Robinson left the band he, Sherman and several other Ithaca types migrated to France, where they produced one album under the name of King Harvest. This group had the 1973 hit record of Dancin’ in the Moonlight and Doc Robinson was the lead singer!
Another notable track is the acoustic cover of the Beatles Golden Slumbers.
