Party Animals and spandex fetishists take note, because WIG WAM is back! After seemingly countless years, immigrated from the U.S. to Norway glam band with a new album is back in style and more than impressive. Let Already the title “667 .. The Neighbour Of The Beast” and the eponymous intro guess that it goes here with animal Ernst to business😉 On the promising foreplay follows with the supernatural Groover “The Best Song Of The World” once the unvarnished truth.
With their melodic sing-along single “Crazy Things” WIG WAM have participated in the Norwegian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest in shocked not only the population but also achieved third place with it. In the mid-tempo track “Out Of Time“, which features a hammer–chorus, the men worry about singer Glam for some contrast, because the filigree – ever present – keyboards are opposed to sporadic dominant and dirty guitars. While equipped with fat riffs makes the possessive “Mine All Mine” quite snotty in the ear canals wide, one goes with “Hard To Be A Rock ‘N’ Roller” even more contrast to the point. This ingenious party anthem gets its spiciness from the fusion of modern, almost rap-like passages and traditional glam sounds. But on “667 .. The Neighbour Of The Beast” there is not only “hau it” party music, but with “Tell Me What You Go” and “A Long Way” are also a sensitive ballad or an acoustic-wicked campfire number of cinderalla meets GUNS N ‘ROSES trademark of the party. Before one goes with the spherical number “Turn To You” in the radio-friendly pop rock corner, bringing guitarist Tenny with his VAN HALEN-heavy solo “errection” again the strings neat glow. The hammer plate with the stadium anthem “No More Living On Lies” is stylish rounded (VAN HALEN and BON JOVI would not it be better skillfully) and a corresponding thereto rough–powerful production. In this sense, “Lets get ready to be TIG WAM’ed!” … Once in the 80’s and back!
