XX BADBOY – FIRE IN THE HOLE 1993/2008

Members of the band have seemed to do their best to remain anonymous, and by the names the give themselves it seems to be true. For what little I can offer on the history of these hard rockers, they came out of Tampa Florida in the early 90’s and picked up on the glam rocker vibe. I wish I’d asked more questions when they handed me the demos, but so be it! The music was loud and the drinks were flowing … I guess I just figured I’d see their name in lights for a while to come. It’s safe to say that sadly, I didn’t.

War Babies – War Babies 1992

The only album released by this Seattle band, who were fronted by former TKO vocalist Brad Sinsel. Their sound can best be compared to Cinderella – it’s blues-infused hard rock with a gravelly-voiced lead singer. Not quite at the level of that legendary band, but good stuff nonetheless.

Dangerous! – Teenage Rampage (2011)

Another day, another band with an inappropriately punctuated name. This is Dangerous!. (That’s why the punctuation is inappropriate.) It’s not too hard to get past thesimilarities with The Hives and especially The Vines but there’s a bit more to them than being just another bunch of Aussie garage rockers.
